Belize is said to have some of the best fishing grounds for Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit in the World!

At Portofino Resort, we encourage our guests to "Catch and release" which is popular here in our waters. Once you land your catch, there's a decision to make -- keep it or release it… We encourage all our guests to keep your catch only, if the fish you caught is of a legal species and legal size and will be consumed by you during lunch or dinner.
